house music all night long...

phill boogie:
i partied like it was 1989 last night. colonel abrams, johnny kemp and d train put on a good show. the real party actually happened when the dj was taking folks back. people were acting like they didn't have knee problems (d money) as they hopped around last night.

for a moment it was like being at the zanzibar back in the day. then i opened my eyes and saw people dancing with canes.

good times.

There is nothing like some good house music on a Friday night. Well, any night for that matter. Certain music is for certain occasions but house music makes you feel good all the time. Something about feeling the bass thump in your chest while being surrounded by happy people moving to the beat is addictive. You’re just a happy person at that point in time. Like colonel Abrams said, it takes you back. Me personally, I don’t have much experience with house music in clubs but judging from the clips here, I think I would enjoy it just as much if not more than the parties I usually attend. Music in general takes people back in their minds. Many times when music starts, stories soon follow if you are talking with someone. People remember where they were, who they were dating, the best party they went to ect. When it comes to the music people listen to and when they listen to it, the bottom line is if it is good music, they will remember it. Some nights when I am at home, I will take a ride in the car on a Friday or Saturday evening and just listen to the old school stations. Where do I go? Where ever the music takes me. From the funk to the house music, I love it all. As far as this video goes, I love the atmosphere. Everyone seems to be happy (despite the pain they may be in from moving like they haven’t in years). The performer and the crowd seem to be feeding off of each other. The crowd keeps moving as the music keeps playing. I just hope that this type of music is never lost and will continue to make people feel good for years to come.

Where was this and why wasn't I invited? Hahaha! It looks like it was great fun. I can't say much about 1989, though. I was not quite old enough to party back then.

I like the cameo, too. Haha.
